一、 基本情況
澳大利亞教育由聯(lián)邦政府及州政府負(fù)責(zé)。
澳大利亞的大學(xué)分布在州和地區(qū)內(nèi)。除2所私立大學(xué)外，其余均為公立大學(xué)。澳大利亞大學(xué)及高等教育機(jī)構(gòu)執(zhí)行全國統(tǒng)一的學(xué)歷學(xué)位及高等教育文憑體系。
澳大利亞的職業(yè)教育與培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu) (VET)
包括公立技術(shù)與繼續(xù)教育學(xué)院(TAFE)和私立職業(yè)技術(shù)學(xué)院。公立技術(shù)與繼續(xù)教育學(xué)院一般由政府擁有和管理。私立職業(yè)技術(shù)學(xué)院一般由企業(yè)公司、私人和專業(yè)組織擁有和管理。職業(yè)教育與培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu)提供種類繁多的課程。
澳大利亞的語言學(xué)校包括獨(dú)立機(jī)構(gòu)及各類院校開設(shè)的語言培訓(xùn)課程。
